Nordmann Firs have an attractive symmetrical form with glossy, dark green needles. Their low resin and thick waxed needles make them an ideal choice for those with allergies. The branches form close together with just the right amount of spacing to elegantly display ornaments.

The needles tend to twist upward, exposing their bluish, silver tint below. Nobles have been referred to as “silver tips” or “silver fir.” The Nobles have a beautiful silhouette with firm but lightweight trunks.

Fraser Firs have a wonderful pyramid shape with strong branches that turn slightly upward. The hearty needles are flat, with a dark green, and slightly blue tint to them.

The needles are light green with a slight blue color. They grow in a spiral pattern around each branch giving the tree a dense and full look. The needles are soft to the touch. Douglas branches are spreading to drooping making them a perfect fit for light weight ornaments.
